Very sorry to hear. Grandpa did what most men would do a few years back. My father would say every man has to kill his own dog and iron his own apron...Rottys are just as dangerous and a lot bigger...Certainly hope for the best for the toddler. It only take a second for a dog to turn.

The granddaddy will never forgive himself for what the dog did...he also needs prayers..along with the parents....and the baby....

the manner in which grandpa dispatched the dog seriously spooked all my ladykin while we were talking about it at dinner last night

i explained he might not have had time to go get his pistol....

the baby’s mom was in PA at a religious seminar..she is very devout CofC...the daddy is more libertarian...an unusual couple ...yes...the grandfather is no doubt very distraught..thanks
