Never understood the economics of buying a $100,000 dollars worth of equipment to fish.

I'm guessing the top ranked fishermen have that stuff provided free of charge by the manufacturer.

For sure...that’s the guys with their own show!!! What about the thousands of others... Have a nephew who bought a brand new bass boat and announced to the family he was going to get rich fishing....boat got repo’d the next yaer.
