Amendment 28
Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .
wouldn’t work - they’ll just call it a rule, or regulation, or some other name. what’s really needed is aUSSC ruling that the pols must be subjected to the same rules, etc. as everybody else.
....you expect our politicians to pass this?
Passing an amendment like this would be admitting that they now have the right to pass laws that don’t apply to them. If it fails, they’ve been given a HUGE green light.
And the difference would be . . .? That’s what they’re doing now.
