Stalin would be at home in Madistan reading his favorite Stalin paper, the Red Star.

Her mom committed suicide probably due to Stalin’s abuse.

I met her some 20+ years ago. Honestly, she was a very nice lady and you would never know who her father was unless someone told you.
My best friend’s mother is a professional seamstress and did some work for this woman while she was staying in town. My friend and I delivered the clothes to the daughter at the hotel she was staying at.

She is a very good person. Am sure she has an interesting ‘take’ on Obama.

Svetlana was married, for some time, to one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s chief proteges, and the Taliesin East lacale was some two miles south of a little town of Spring Green. Her politics, insofar as she expressed any, were with the “progressive” form of humanistic secularism.
Much like Frank Lloyd Wright’s own.
Which fits right in with a number of folk who live in Wisconsin (I know, I was born and brought up there, left for good in 1991, and never looked back).

No news institution would ever ask a serious question like that.

One must read Stalin’s biography to learn of the culture that took her Mom’s life: They all were true believers even onto murder and suicide - so nice to learn his daughter escaped this...will we?

No news institution would ever ask a serious question like that. Indeed; particularly when they know they will not like the answer.

Well, she must feel at home there.

Very interesting story. Film should be even more so.

We all have embarrassing relatives. As understatements go, that's right up there with Hirohito's "The war has not necessairly developed to Japan's advantage."

Stalin’s daughter wrote 2 books after her defection to the US. I read one of them. Her life has been very painful.
To: dfwgator
It was mutual. Billy had a boob for a brother as well.

"We all have embarrassing relatives."
More than a few of us are embarrassing relatives. (You and I excluded of course:) ).
