Sauces (other than ketchup, of course) tend to be mayo based, which is disgusting. Or, even worse, a delivery mechanism for mustard.

Kitty boy and Yeti boy are excellent mousers, but Titus has only caught insects and the occasional lizard unlucky enough to get into the house, but he is also a fuzzy, cuddly self-propelled lap ornament, so that is okay.

With the giant mole? Yeah, that was good. And I know it’s dumb, but I get a kick out of Steve Holt (STEVE HOLT!).

In my experience foreign food is less, not more spicy than what we get back home. Curry excepted.

the secret isn’t the spice or seasoning, it’s the origin of the particular species....

Someone needs to go teach them Arabs how to cut up a chicken. More often than not, it was just like random bits of bone and meat.

I agree on the “secret” thing-if I can’t make a positive ID on ingredients in a food item, I’m NOT going to eat it.

I guess I’m weird, but I only like spicy brown mustard on my sandwiches, only eat them made with whole wheat bread/buns, and I think mayo looks and tastes like that white paste we used to use in kindergarten...

And now that I’m hungry from not eating breakfast and talking about food, I’m going to find something for lunch-back later...

This was lunch at the canteen.

Lettuce and stuff for salad.

Rice

Some sort of beef (one day it was lamb)

Some sort of chicken (fried or in a sauce)

Some sort of vegetable dish

Pita bread

Apple or banana or orange

Some sort of soup

Once a week there was fried fish nuggets. On occasion they had curried chicken, too. And they tried to make spaghetti for all the Italians, but it wasn’t very good and usually had veggies mixed in.
