That is very tempting since the ungrateful shelter cat still has claws on the hind feet.

I saw Glenn Beck recommend it, and picked it up at the bookstore before my last voyage.

We just ended Reconstruction, with a side foray into Indian wars and politics. The Progressives should be up soon.

i am not nearly that far into it and have taken a side trip with some fiction reading. Swan Thieves, which Ti recommended, is very good. Truthy, is that why you posted the pic of the painting Leda?

I posted the painting of Leda and the Swan because the word for the day was “soigne.”

I am reading A Patriot’s History now as well. No fair posting about his book (post 118,119) without pinging LS to the thread...LOL.

LS, I think our whole class must be reading your book!

Her last book was good too, The Historian, but I’m afraid this one is too lengthy for my book club. I suggested we skip a month meeting to get it read but no one has responded favorably yet.

I read the Historian while on vaca a few years back. i like long books. after only two sittings with the book i am halfway through it. it is extremely engaging.

LOL GMTA...

Yet irksome idiots' incompetence is insufficient justification for restricting freedoms of everybody else.

How many people have to die before you think it’s justified to control traffic patterns?

Here is my "use the word in a sentence" submission:

"The mainstream press simply bowdlerize(d) Obama's obvious
leftist worldview so that he would be a candidate for President."

Not beautiful, but sure does seem to be a reasonable use of term.
