I played HS football in that staudium. Damn shame to see it go down and what a WASTE of resources. They couldn't figure out a better use for it like renting / leasing for big games in local school districts or filling in the building with internal supports and making an office building out of it????

Blowing up a perfectly good building is a criminal waste but never underestimate the power of stupid people with explosives.

There are enough big HS football stadiums in the Metroplex to accomodate big HS games, it just probably didn’t make sense to keep it given the maintenance costs.

I’m more surprised they got rid of Reunion Arena, I still think there were potential uses for it.
