I heard this on Mark's show Tuesday and thought it a brilliant analysis on the roots of the Democrat party.
Dems complain about some one recognizing their Southern rebel roots, but ignore the Democrat party's pro slavery/bigoted roots
Worthwhile, I hope, wortwhile for all to hear if you did not on Tuesday.About 7 mins. long.
they still are....between the plantation system and taking away our constitutional rights...
It still is!
The Democrats that were pro-slavery/pro-Jim Crow became Republicians.
Slave economics, race repression, Jim Crow, lynch mobs, fire hoses, bombed out churches, white robes and burning crosses, that is the Democratic Party’s history.
Never put yourself in the position of trying to defend their history. Its theirs, let them own it, let them defend it, let them explain it away.
They are forever trying to re-write history, and if that was my history I’d try to re-write it too. Don’t make it easy for them. Just throw it right back on them. Its theirs.
If that was your history, you'd say that too.
The Democrats who became Republicans accepted our view. The ones who remained Democrats are to this day obsessed with race politics.
Show the democrats this web site and ask them exactly when did the Democrats and Republicans switch and where is the documentation that anything like that happened? Why did Senator Byrd never renounce being a Grand Kleagle of the KKK?

That argument doesn't hold water since the Republican party was founded by Christians, abolitionists, free blacks and anti-slavery activists who wanted to put an end to the abomination of slavery.
Mark Levin talks about how the democratic party was the party of slavery
Still is.

Thank you. Good post.
I still remember the bad old days and I know what Republicans believed during those days, and I remember what Democrats thought of us for believing it.
What happened is this: we won the argument. With race eliminated as an issue for many people, a lot of Democrats joined the GOP. The ones who did, did so because they accepted our view. A few well known dixiecrats joined us, but most of the old dixiecrats remained in the Democrat Party, which is right where they belonged.
We are essentially right where we have always been; color-blind citizenship. The Democrats have shifted; they aren’t as bad on race as they were during the bad old days but they still can’t turn loose of it, they can’t help themselves, they still see the world through an ethnic lens and inevitably, incurably use race politics as an instrument of power. Its who they are.
The most virulent racists (whether it was against blacks or, as in the case of Andrew Jackson Indian tribes like the Cherokee - another part of my ancestry) have always been card carrying Democrats. Goebbels could have only dreamed about the kind of successful "Big Lie" propaganda that has for fifty years been foisted on the US public by the American press on behalf of the Democratic Party.
Here are two great video productions outlining the history of the racist democrat party and how they have continually fought against equal rights to representation for all.

This history is getting more known and I have been hounding left-wingers with these facts alot lately being how they want to call the Tea Party racist.
Many on the left will try and comeback with the argument that the two parties switched with all of the racist democrats becoming republicans and vice-versa. This is simply an absurd argument and should simply be mocked and laughed at. The fact is that the progressive movement itself was incredibly racist and continually fought against equal rights to representation for all. Many of the policies followed by the left-wing progressives today originated from the racist progressive movement of the past.
Separation of Church and State: The first time religious expression in government or the public square was objected to was by democrats who boycotted services simply because republicans were inviting blacks to the services. The entire doctrine of Separation of Church and State was brought about even by a racist progressive Justice appointed by FDR who was a KKK member and defended the KKK in Court.
Of course even though this left-wing ideology was created based upon racism the left-wing still holds it sacred today.
Abortion: Margaret Sanger is well known as a racist and spoke many times with the KKK. Abortion was being promoted by the progressives to do away with undesirables. Even Justice Ginsburg has said as much recently.
Of course even though this left-wing ideology was created based upon racism the left-wing still holds it sacred today.
Many of the progressive movements policies are geared around creating a form of government that does not give equal rights to representation for all. They seek to use the Court to dictate issues thus denying people the right to representation.
The progressive taxation system favored by the progressive movement also deny people equal protection under the law being that one group of people live under one law which takes and takes from them while another group of people live under another law whereas nothing is taken or that other peoples property is given to them. The law is supposed to protect all people equally but the progressive movement has always fought against this.
