When I was a kid, our siamese attacked the Fuller Brush Man. She leaped off a bannister onto his head and dug her claws in his scalp, refusing to let go as he tried to shake her off in a wild frenzy of yelling and blood. It was funny to watch, but my mom ended up buying about $50 (in late 60s dollars) worth of stuff. Now THAT explains why our neighbor the salesman used comb in a little sardine juice on his scalp before leaving for a day's work...

Interestingly enough, my cat's name is Bob.

Here he is lunging at me one afternoon.

I had a domestic bobcat mix, and she’d once in awhile forget who I was.
Wrestling twenty two pounds of crossbreed because she mistook me looking at her as a challenge is something I don’t recommend, but would do again in a heartbeat.
She was the most remarkable animal I ever had.

I remember a few years back when Rush did a story on a cat attack. It was around the time he first got his little pet cat I think. Anyway it was an older couple and the cat had really done a number on them. The police said there was blood on the ceiling, if that tells you anything.

Simple fix; shoot the cat.

We had one who ended up losing it after having a reaction to a flea product. 99% of the time he was the sweetest, smartest cat you could imagine...but when that switch got flipped it was like walking into a chainsaw wrapped in barb wire.
I got climbed from calf to scalp...it was several months before the holes in the back of my leg stopped hurting when I had to get into the car, and if he’d been an inch more over at the top I would’ve lost an eye.
We had to have him put to sleep in the end. We loved him and it made us sad, but that’s not a responsibility you can foist on someone else, and we have an elderly person on blood thinners in the house.

We sure do miss them when their 9th life goes. I understand completely.

I wouldn’t put it past her, either.
(I actually stole the KPL kitten pic off a cute kitteh website, but you can tell she’s a troublemaker.)
