Dogs To Be Euthanized After Tearing Off Infant's Testicles
POSTED: 10:29 am PDT April 8, 2010
MURRIETA, Calif. -- Two large dogs have chewed off the testicles of a 6-month-old boy strapped in a baby carrier and left alone in a Riverside County apartment.
The 22-year-old mother was at her friend's apartment and had left the room, Murrieta police said.
The pit bull and pit bull mix attacked the baby, tearing off his diaper and biting his scrotum, according to Sgt. Bob Landwehr.
The mother and friend heard screaming and rescued the baby, who was hospitalized in unknown condition. Police and child protective services were investigating, but no charges have been filed. The dogs will be euthanized.
You are correct, and I humbly ask for your forgiveness for my rudeness. I had a bad day, and was taking it out on you. I'm very sorry.
But, one of my pet peeves is the idea that we immediately accuse a parent of neglect for doing things that we ourselves have done. My response to these stories, many times, is “there, but by the Grace of God, go I, (or could have went).
Your kids should count themselves lucky to have “normally vigilant” supervision where some “risk” might occur.
Know where I spent my “ordinarily much celebrated/highly symbolic” 18th birthday?
Sitting on the front porch with my dog, watching a mountain because I was not allowed to go ~anywhere~ outside the yard or totally uninhabited woods behind my house unchaperoned and unfortunately, my boy friend was working that whole day.
Wow.
Was that ever a milestone party/right-of-passage to never be forgotten.
You’ll notice that I never did say having excessively ~hyper-vigilant~ parents was a particularly good thing.
[”You live under my roof, you live under my rules”/it’s because we love you...etc etc etc]
Got a job that fall, saved enough money to buy a car, rent an apartment, then took my dog and moved out.
But...to their credit, I never got attacked by pit bulls....just nearly smothered to death.
Still think I was being “disingenuous”?
You never know what a person’s life has been.
Here's a "Happy Hippo Kiss" to make your day a little better.
I would imagine that hippo breath is rather rank.
Totally worthless. They should all be put down and more counties and states should ban them. I refused to rent one of our rental homes to a couple that had one. We accept pets, but Pit Bull, hell no. They had 2 kids too. I told them they should have that dog put down and no they were not suitable tenants with that dog.
Yes, they have Major mouth odor.
I won’t let people with pet Hippos use our pool.
