Portage High School West school board member Cheryl 0prisko has forced her school's students into a partisan controversy entirely of her own making. Presentation of the colors by a JROTC color guard is a typical event at all sorts of civic events, including partisan political events. But 0prisko seems to be woefully uninformed. At Al Gore's 2000 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles, a JROTC color guard presented the colors.

I don't get it. JROTC color guard presents colors at all sorts of events, including political. What's wrong with JROTC presenting at a Gore event? It doesn't infer JROTC supported Gore. Now, if they refused the same for Bush, there would be a story, but there's no indication that happened.

Please read before you post.

A leftist school board member, 0prisko, does not want the JROTC color guard to post the colors at a Tea Party event because it is “partisan”.

First, a Tea Party event is a non-partisan rally of patriots.

Second, even if it partisan, as I noted in my post, this sort of thing is typical at even partisan civic events.
