Yes, when I say “those are DOG years!” it is an expression to mean that one calendar year counts for much more.

As in... “You lived in Detroit for four years?”

“Yeah, and they were DOG years!”

So a 4 year Hollywood relationship, in “dog years”, would count for 28! ;)
