Congratulations UConn women.

78 - 0

First team since UCLA men to post back to back undefeated season.

Whether you like women's basketball or not, you got to give UConn their due.

Even in the face of the the Yankees of the 30s and 40s...Celtics of the the 60s...the Pittsburgh Steelers of the 70s...I have never seen such a dominant team.

Congratulations to the women of Stores, Connecticut.

Sorry that Stanford and Coach Tara had to lose; I like them a lot. Maya was too much. I believe she’s better than Cheryl Miller ever was. Sorry Cheryl.

I hate them with a passion, but I have to give Dan Gable and the Iowa Hawkeye wrestling team their due. They won 15 titles in 20 years including 9 in a row. They also won another 3 in a row after Gable retired. His record was 355-21-5.

This accomplishment by the UConn women is very impressive though.

Were you able to watch or listen to the game?

I saw your earlier post and I can't you help with the taping of the games. Sorry.

Games are sometimes posted on You Tube. Try there.

My condolences on having to live in Ames. ;) jk.

As much angst as he has caused Oklahoma State, I have to say Dan Gable deserves nothing but respect.

Hats off to UConn, but lets not forget other achievements in the process.

The PSU Nittany Lions (the team prefers the nickname Nittany Lions over Lady Lions) have won over 100 consecutive matches (and 3 straight NCAA Titles) in an arguably more competitive environment in womens volleyball.

As good as UConn Women's Basketball is...here is the "team of the year":

I couldn’t listen via WTIC in Hartford on-line ( CBS block of some kind ) so tried the Stanford U. radio station and got the game !

Finally got hold of a friend @ UConn and she recorded the semifinal and final game for me .

Cheers - Sushiman

What Penn State did was remarkable...Just like what UConn did...

It was an interesting game...I did wonder if UConn would lose this time...

Right you are. And I should know that. I used to live down near there. Late night posting "fat-fingers" I guess.
