I have had diverticulitis a couple of times, last time was June 09. I know what you are going through (sort of) I was never hospitalized and didn’t have surgery for it (yet). I did discover that coarse ground black pepper and hot foods containing cayenne pepper bring it on for me. I had to figure this out for myself so pay attention to what you eat and how it affects you. I am praying for a recovery that doesn’t include surgery for you. God Bless.
Prayers, Kimmie7. My husband had diverticulitis almost 20 years ago. Terrible pain, bad infection. He went on a special diet and healed it over time .. eventually he could eat things they say you can’t with diverticulitis, i.e., tomatoes, strawberries, etc. When you get out of the hospital if you want info, FReepmail me.
