Thaddeus Kosciusko was a Polish officer who was a colonel in the Continental Army. Since I am of Polish roots, but also have some ancestors who fought in the American Revolution, I thought I would adopt this moniker. I don't use my own surname due to its rarity.

As for the "51", Kosciusko was already taken, and I used to have 51 as my number when I played football.
