I see that Hells Kitchen starts up tonight! :)
LOL, well if anyone wants to chat about HK we have plenty of room left in this thread ;)
Ugh. Sounds like we’re in for some “lectures” Bowersox-style.
Bye-bye my high hopes for Crystal’s sweet, soft side.
Hello “hopey changey”...
<><><>
“Bowersox seemingly delighted in making it clear to me that she was “a fighter,” someone hell-bent on forging her own career path her own songs, her own sound, her own way ...”
“I’d like to do the songs that I’ve been doing for years. ... I’m not opposed to working with other writers and producers, but my goal is to put out an album I really enjoy,” she said. “I’m aware of it, I’m a fighter, I’m a passionate person, I believe in certain things very strongly and I don’t go down easy...
“Oh, and she maintained that, despite what her “Idol” handlers might say, she plans to speak out against things that she deems are unjust. Because she wants to use her fame to bring about change.”

I still refuse to listen to her leftist songs, but am realizing that her activism will probably permeate her albums, which is likely why Simon et al went luke warm toward the end. He knew she’d end up alienating half the country.
Lee DeWyze may very well hold the same beliefs as Crystal, but at least he’s smart enough to smile, say ‘thank you’, and just ‘shut up and sing.’
