"The son of this soil"

Nothing more than a figure of speech regarding his heritage. But I'm sure you read this differently. To each his own.

Nothing more than a figure of speech regarding his heritage.

Whoa, hold the phone ... I thought Obama's "heritage" was the United States, Hawaii specifically. I thought Obama's "home country" was AMERICA.

BUT let's go with your theory for a minute ... that the slip up was a "figure of speech regarding his heritage."

Obama seems very Conflicted, Confused & Divided — and his wife concurs.

EVERYONE'S bloodline and "heritage" comes from somewhere: England, Spain, France, India, etc. But Obama is ZERO generations removed.

Obama was a Kenya Citizen from Dec. 12, 1963 to Aug. 4, 1982 — nearly 19 years. The only reason he wasn't BORN a Kenyan citizen is that Kenya did not gain its independence from the UK until December 1963. You can take the boy out of Kenya — but IT'S OBVIOUS — that you cannot take the Kenya out of the boy.

Further, Obama was born a British Subject, which is BIG problem too, as the Framers feared a future foreign President who could have divided loyalties to another nation — in Obama's confused mind, perhaps even the nation of Islam.

Obama obviously feels a strong ancestral tie to another "heritage" ... another country other than Americathe nation of Kenya. This BOND is MUCH stronger than Americans who feel a mild ancestral connection to a "home country" by way of the Mayflower, Ellis Island or the Rio Grande River.

Since Obama feels a STRONG connection to a "heritage" — in his "home country in Kenya" — it obviously must, at least on SOME level, affect his JUDGMENT in his dealings with our country.
