Been prepping for the last 2 years now. I just found a handy item. My home is electric so if there is an extended power outage, I would have trouble cooking.

Our Costco stores here carry an emergency Food Supply bucket with 200 servings in each. They have a shelf life of 20 years. I think I paid about $70. Also, they have the large buckets of powered milk and the 25 and 50 lb bags of rice and beans. Super cheap food to store!
