Solar flare, EMP, don’t know why.
Well..., I can think of one possibility, that is in the Bible and that is happening soon, sometime in our own lifetimes here... it's the Rapture of the church, when Jesus comes back to take away the dead in Christ and any who are living, on this earth, at that time, too.
I would say that over half (to maybe even 75% or more) of the world's data routes through Internet hubs here in the United States. And also, I would say that the Rapture will have more effect on the United States and its infrastructure (including the Internet) than anywhere else in the world, as there appears to be a whole lot higher concentration of Christians here in this country (not enough for my tastes, but higher than anywhere else, it would appear). The infrastructure can only run so long by itself, before starting to seriously degrade, without experts to step in and do necessary repairs, fixes and upgrades.
And so, the disappearance of that many people who work in a variety of key areas will "wreak havoc" upon the whole world. I can imagine that "data" will drop to very low levels at that time, and take a while to build back up.
BUT, having said that, I'm not putting the web bot on the same level as what the Bible says about the Rapture. I can guarantee you that the Rapture will happen (just as much, and in the same way, that any Christian can guarantee you that the resurrection of Jesus happened). However, I can't say that a web bot is anything more than a hi-tech spiritualist, new-ager, seer project, with as much validity as someone examining cat entrails to see the future. LOL ...

Most certainly, the web bot stuff is interesting, but does NOT replace or come close to being the final say in my book. I do find it interesting that God seems to be reaching out in other ways to unbelievers though this ‘web bot’ stuff.
Mr Ure has mentioned that there had been ‘hits’ on the web project of people disappearing, but it is a group here, a person there, and NOT close to what the rapture would be like. I had wondered later if Satan would try to ‘imitate’ God with ‘disappearances’ of his own.
I had not thought of the dropped data being the rapture. The number of Christians working in key places across a nation disappearing all at once, would be disrupting at the least.
It is a possibility.
Thinking more about the dropped data/rapture.
It could be the rapture is close to the time when the dropped data appears. And then that is when TPB will institute martial law and close down the web to keep the general population from knowing too much. ‘They’ seem intent on keeping the plebs from knowing too much.
Just a thought. Who knows? Only God, Praise Him!!
