Inspired by an interesting thread regarding an actor who refused to do love scenes with an attractive female actress. Inevitably somebody thinks its "funny" to throw in a picture of Helen Thomas. This extremely tiresome "joke" has been run into the ground.
Looking it up she was born in 1920. So every day someone feels the need to point how that a 90 year old woman isn't a babe. And we have to shout that out a dozen times a day in threads that have no relation whatsoever to the Washington Press Corps. Aren't we so clever.
It's nothing clever, it's nothing witty, it's nothing civil. It's just a low cheap shot. In theory aren't we supposed to be better then this. Can't we give it a rest, or at the very least stop with the off-topic use of the pictures.

No; they can be really funny at times! To many things are of great gravity and importance; such as the intentional dismantling of our nation by the current White House occupants.
Laughing at a picture of HT is a great distraction.
Had the coffee cup almost to my lips when that came up.......another couple of seconds and it would have been disaster!

She is ugly clear to the bone. We are fortunate that we cannot see the ugliness inside.
And yet, here you are, unable to help yourselves, like moths to the flame that is Helen Thomas.

I have actually gotten to the point I just move on once that picture shows up- it is so overdone and rarely has any real reason to be in the post.
However that is just me.
On the other hand I value posts that have some meaning, or express an original opinion.

This photo will leave me scratching my head for years. Who is teaching, and why are they teaching, Helen Thomas how to pierce nipples ? From behind ? Like a sneak attack ?
