I have postulated for years that police coming to a private citizens door should do so unarmed and in suits, not uniform.
Some might consider this dangerous for the police, but that is what they get payed for, not offing helpless citizens.
The indiscriminate tasing of citizens is the same sort of thing. Too many times they do it because someone at a traffic stop says something like, “Officer, I don’t think I was going that fast.” They do it because they are allowed to do it, often for no other reason.
