I have seen the wind up lights and radio advertised...we should all have those and quit worrying about batteries.

JC, go to http://www.weather.com and type in your zip code. You can do a detailed (hour by hour) check, or a ten day search - or a radar sattelite map, or whatever you want to know about your weather - in your area.

I just use the arrow by my browser box, and type in “w” and it comes up - for my zip code.

No, I don't know his name. The boy and his father were rescuing two abandoned cats, and since the boy and father were on bikes, my wife and I held the cats and drove them to the boy's house, on a farm. I named this cat Friskie, but I don't no if the boy gave it a different name, as this was about two years ago.

I rescued a young cat several years ago. Every night, when I would come home from work, there was a gray, long haired cat, sitting in the driveway. I started putting out milk and dry cat food for her, and finally, she let me pick her up. The purring was so LOUD that I felt it could have been heard two blocks away.

Of course, I took her ‘in’ - and she was the sweetest cat in the WORLD!!!

But, she kept getting fatter and fatter.

One day - I knew why. She delivered five kittens under the bed in the guest room.

...............One of the most wonderful six weeks of my life!

Living in the country, we get cats and dogs dumped by uncaring people. We cannot keep all of the dogs; we just hope the animal shelter finds homes for them. We are feeding a stray cat now. He is very friendly and he comes looking for a handout at least once a day. Marissa named him Mr Licorice. Guess you can guess his color. :)

Thoroughly enjoyed all the Caturday graphics & your notes & chatter! Busy past couple days of social things with both still & video shots along the way and after today's Jazz Jam session at my monthly group, will have a lot of pix work to do.

Was thinking of Lady X yesterday. Still hard to believe she is not with us any longer, always loved her clever upbeat posts with the cute little pix along the way as part of her train of thought.
