Well, at least they admit they're big-@ss 'polluters' to begin with. Or maybe they've just drunk enough of the the kool aide the Enviros have been serving for years now. *SHRUG*

Since their first album, they haven’t done much for me. I think it was Yngwie Malsteem said that there name was appropriate for their music.

Why not just stay at home and streamcast concerts around the world on the internet tubes?

Is there any doubt they will just add a buck to the cost of the ticket, to pay for their “green” initiatives?

They are from Seattle no? Shoosh, you take a nap up there and a tree will grow between your legs. I hate sanctimonious hippies. Why can’t they just do drugs, play repetitive “poser” music and leave the rest of us alone? Did I really have to read this drivel?

Pearl jam sucks.

Folk music sucks.

Eddie Vedder sucks.

Long live global warming!

Probably ‘cause it wouldn’t be much fun for the fans or them.

No, and you probably don’t have to respond either.

I give a high rating to this effort since 33 acres of real trees will be planted instead of them buying some BS carbon credits from AlGore’s company

If you buy into the global warming myth then this is the way to go. Nothing wrong with planting more trees so I give Pearl Jam an A+. Hippies screw up these things so I won’t believe 33 acres are planted until I get confirmation

“Nothing wrong with planting more trees”

.

Depends on where, and whether they will be maintained.

We have too many trees in the wrong places now. - Our forests are dangerously over-grown and poorly maintained. Much thinning needs to be done to prevent the kind of disastrous fires that we’ve had for the last 15 years.

You are correct about forests that can use culling. I have planted trees where they are needed. Do you have a fruit tree on your property? In the urban and suburban landscape the more trees the better unless you have oily flammable crap like Eucalyptus or a tree that will attract lighting or crash down into your house in a storm

Actually, a tree that will attract lightning is a good thing!

The solar equipment up at our ranch recently was spared a lightning hit due to the sacrificial oak nearby that took the hit. It cost the oak about half of the bark on its trunk, but it looks like it’ll last for a future storm.

Had the solar system been grounded, I’m sure that it would be history today, along with a huge fire and a pile of toxic waste to clean up.

I’m off the FReservation on this one.

I’ve always loved Eddie Vedder’s voice....”Release Me” is off of their first album - and it’s an amazing song....as is the rest of that album. Don’t know what happened after that - they feel off the deep end methinks.

I love their original tunes, hate their politics.

Same here. Rock bands mostly regress after their 1st album, and their 2nd album was a disappointment, and too preachy for me. Evenflow was wicked though. I dont want to be lectured on my rock songs.
