Remember when Chiklis played the Commish? Next thing I know, whoa!...He was suddenly buff. I loved him as cuddly Commish and then it went to a whole different level. :)

Yes the contrast between the Commish and The Shield was night and day. The Pillsbury Doughboy vs a prowling leopard.

I didn’t think he had Vic Macky in him but I should have remembered I first saw Chiklis before he was the Commish. He was a Mafia hitman on the old Wiseguy series. The hitman was in several episodes and came over as a very tough guy.

And then during the Shield’s hiatus, he portrays Curly from the Three Stooges, and makes it work. The man’s versatility is surprising.
