Why are the militias (like Hutaree) called "right wing?"

Because calling them wrong-wing would not play into the leftists' version of reality. It plays into their agenda to demonize them and associate these groups with the "Right." It's just one big PSYOPS campaign to discredit anyone who disagrees with the left.

Kind of like the poor (or deliberate) choice of words used by a reporter that described the far more mainstream Militia leader as "of Islamic descent". (He's apparently Arab American just like millions of other Americans) Its an erroneous designation that doesn't exist but some immediately started screaming that the Michigan Militia is run by CAIR.

I suggest checking out the Michigan Militia homepage to check it out yourselves. They appear to concentrate on self reliance, survival skills, family. Kinda like boyscouts for the whole family.
