Nickelodeon’s kids pick Kerry as president
NEW YORK, Oct. 20 (UPI) — If kids could vote, Sen. John Kerry would be the next U.S. president, Nickelodeon network’s “Kids’ Vote” indicates.
Well, it turns out that Nickelodeon is trying to its darndest to become ruler of the universe. Er, that would be the children’s programming universe.
At the recent upfront presentation for the media, Nickelodeon president Cyma Zarghami informed the audience that 70 of the top 70 children’s programs were on their channel. In fact, according to Zarghami, the network’s lead is 101% over their nearest competitor, Cartoon Network. Well, I guess they can brag a little bit.
no, I haven’t tuned in, we don’t watch a whole lot of tv, kids mostly watch their disney movies even some of which are not very hidden liberal agendas.
This isnt like Iran getting the bomb but that doesent make it less real. Its disgusting and inapproprite and free peoples ought tobe able to regulate in accordance with common law agreed upon behavioral standards.
This isn’t even english, sheesh, and just replace “rude boy” with “nigga” at least. This is a song???
She has talent, natch. Still, I’d prefer lyrics that wouldn’t prompt embarassing questions from my grandmother should she happen to hear them.
See if you can find a gospel station. We’ve got them here in SC. Good harmony, sung well is hard to beat.

Well, yeah. It ain’t rocket science. All of my kids have been taught to understand that they live by my rules until they are 18. Then they can live by their rules. Elsewhere.
Or at least have deeper subliminal meaning or an entendre’ or two.
“Cold Ethyl” is portrayed as an homage to necrophilia yet it’s actually about his alcoholism.

If I’d had kids, their first words would’ve probably been “DISCO SUCKS!” or “RAP IS CRAP!”, they’d have been wearing “Billion Dollar Baby” jammies and I’d have sung “House Of The Rising Sun” for their bedtime lullaby.

No argument. AC/DC have more cleverness in their collective little finger than whomever wrote that song has in his/her entire body.

If there aren’t at *least* 3 or 4 interpretations of a song’s lyrics ~possible~ and several arcane references involved, I don’t even wanna hear it.
