I had a Peahen frequent my home for 2 years. It’s actually friendly. Some wild dogs probably killed it - it stopped showing up.

To think I could be facing a fine of some sort (Obviously, in my case, not trespassing) seems a bit wierd. A wild-life law wherein I had to report it or face fines, or that I couldn’t go near it for fear of something.

In Colorado the bears would come down from the forests occasionally and nest in a tree. I was told I was supposed to report it. Didn’t.

I bought some Peahen chicks from my local co-op to control insects in my garden, I raised them in a pen and released them one day only to have them take off to my neighbors farm where they stayed, roosting in his trees and eating the bugs in HIS garden. We had a good laugh about it.
