This Saturday, the symbols of our civilization, iconic buildings and landmarks from all over the world, will stand in darkness, to help bring to light one of the biggest challenges of our generation-- Climate Change.
The 'Earth Hour' that began as a show of solidarity against climate change has today become a global movement. On March 27 at 8.30pm, switch off your lights to support action against climate change.
Call for a climate deal that keeps global warming below two degrees and pledge to reduce your own carbon footprint. You can urge your employer, employees, club and your community to do the same that is the essence of mass action by ordinary people and its cumulative power cannot be overstated. We need to keep global warming as far below 2°C degrees as possible to avoid dangerous runaway climate change. Internationally, we need world leaders to deliver a fair, effective and binding new climate deal.
This year over a billion people from over 90 countries and 900 cities will come together to mark the Earth Hour. Max Secure Software, once again, has pledged its support to the worlds largest global climate change event.
On Saturday - March 27, 2010, Max Secure Software would switch off all lights in its offices between 8.30 PM and 9.30 PM - the designated 'Earth Hour'.
Join the 'Earth Hour' by switching off all lights this Saturday - 8.30 PM - 9.30 PM. Just for one hour.

I will celebrate, sunglasses on, lights on!
Did you see, Venezuela is having 'Holy Week' next week. What's that you say, the country is turning the electricity off, since they haven't any, for the whole week. One of the advantages of commie Chavez, for the people of course. commie Chavez needs the money from oil, and El Niño shut his water off.
Why do all these commie paradises seem to want to keep their people in the dark?
Thank you brain dead Obama zombies. Hey zombies, the global warming thing, it's a lie, yeah, hate to tell you that, but it's a lie for the stupid people.
I will also be cranking my propane fireplace up nice and high in addition to turning on all the lights.

I suspect he may be showing up on next weeks unemployment numbers. Another victim of global warming! lol
Amazing, these people really have a lot to do.
I imagine their afterwork parties are interesting.
What do they wear on casual Fridays? lol
Some of them wear turbans, and others innovate.
Hey I still tried to believe in Santa for a couple more years after my mom told me it was a hoax.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll be putting every light on in the house @ 8:30, Plus I'll run my vehicles in the driveway for a little extra emissions.
My husband and I will celebrate this the same way we did lat year: We will turn on every outside light to shine brightly...
Another happy customer! lol
A sucker born every day-parade! lol
CEI Announces 2nd Annual Celebration of Human Achievement
Washington, D.C., March 19, 2010The Competitive Enterprise Institute, a leading free-market think tank, will celebrate the Second Annual Human Achievement Hour between 8:30pm and 9:30pm on Saturday, March 27, 2010. The one-hour celebration coincides with Earth Hour, an hour in which governments, individuals, and corporations will dim or shut off lights to symbolically renounce the environmental impacts of modern technology.
Earth Hours creators suggest that human inventions and technology are a problem, but we see the ability to create and innovate as the ultimate resource, says Human Achievement Hour founder and CEI Policy Analyst Michelle Minton. Environmental challenges will not be solved by turning off our lights and symbolically hiding in the dark, Minton added. If anything, we should be looking to technology and innovation to help solve environmental problems.
Just like last year, countless individuals, organizations, agencies and businesses will be celebrating Human Achievement Hour without even realizing it. Just by not shutting down their lights, operations and stores, they will be acknowledging that productive effort and the pursuit of happiness are a better alternative than sitting in the dark.
In addition to the observance of Human Achievement Hour, wherever people may find themselves around the world, CEI will be hosting a happy hour event outside of Washington, D.C.
CEI is a non-profit, non-partisan public policy group dedicated to the principles of free enterprise and limited government. For more information about CEI, please visit our website at www.cei.org.
