A woman is in serious condition after being attacked by her own dog at Portland in western Victoria.
Ambulance officers say both of the woman's arms are badly injured and they described one of them as being "partially amputated".
She also has horrific facial injuries.
Police believe a family member alerted neighbours to the attack at the woman's flat in Pile Street.
When the neighbours arrived, they could see the woman being mauled by the pit bull Staffordshire cross.
They entered the house by smashing a glass panel in the front door.

This latest attack was obviously the owner’s fault. I bet that poor little pitbull was being fed nothing but dog food and hadn’t been served a toddler in over a month!

I don’t care how many threads Chet uses his freedom of speech to post. He can post as many as he wants, and I’ll still ridicule him, not because of some perceived liberal tactic, but because CHET is against FREEDOM OF CHOICE of AMERICANS to own the breed they want to own.

A LIBERAL tactic is to LIE ABOUT THE OWNERS of the demonized breed, stating they have depraved indifference to the safety of humans. A LIBERAL tactic is to POST ARTICLE AFTER ARTICLE ABOUT ONE BREED, ignoring every other breed of dog. A LIBERAL tactic is to MISIDENTIFY THE DOG as a Pit Bull, when it is a hybrid, a mutt, or some other breed mistaken for a pit.
