I have already made my bacon flavored vodka and blended whiskey probably a couple of years ago, I was too cheap to use Jack Daniels which would have been better). The vodka works fine and the whiskey is OK too.

I remember reading that Winston Churchill liked his (gin) martinis poured straight up with the bartender only looking at the vermouth on the shelf... That is too dry for my taste. When I make a martini, I take the vermouth bottle down from the shelf and pass the sealed bottle once between a southern window and the martini, that is just right for me.

Why not? At one time the Russians had a very popular vodka that was flavored with paper. It's good for making Whiteout Russians.
