“[Obama] has taken over, Freddie, Fannie, Chrysler, GM, banks, AIG, students loans ... with this 18 percent, that brings it up to 48 percent [of the private economy] that the federal government owns or controls. ... And they are not done.” — Michele Bachmann
“The electorate voted for this disaster.”
You are right. The voters are responsible for this. Informed voters on the right already knew what we were in for, but the uninformed that “hated” Bush, wanted to teach the GOP a “leasson” and those that set home are the ones that are responsible. I predict that you will not be able to find a person that admits that they voted for Obama and his ilk.
The “fight” as another thread states this morning is with the MEDIA machine that essentially put this unaccomplished man of hidden background into office.
You can scream and yell at Republicans all you want friend but UNLESS you are able to get your word out to the sleeping masses, you lose.
The MAINSTREAM NEWS MEDIA/HOLLYWOOD AND THE MUSIC INDUSTRY collective is the powerhouse here-—THEY overtly and sublimally drip, drip drip into the entertainment-medicated masses 24/7 the agenda of progressive democrats.
We are experiencing the result.
This media icollective is who we should orgainze against and NOW.
People unless we demand nothing less than brave, strong conservatives we will always see the same results. What’s that line about insanity?
I agree that wee need to elect conservatives, but if we give back the same behavior that the deem-ocRATS have given, then we will be right back in this same boat after the 2016 elections. We need to take a a methodical approach to rolling back this socialism. An all-or-nothing public-be-damned approach to governing will be a short lived victory.
If you are in a liberal district, elect a liberal Republican; if you are in a conservative district, elect a conservative Republican.
Once you have the votes, you get the committee chairmanships and leadership positions (it is important that these be right of center folks with firm Constitutional principles, so that they are not just tax collectors for the welfare state).
Secondly, don't wait until November! Talk to your neighbors calmly about what a fundamental change this is to the nature and destiny of our country; remember to mention that state taxes will rise significantly as they are forced to pay the Medicaid fallout from the Cornhusker kickback, that discretionary spending, such as defense (I know, only in the DC fantasyland is defense considered discretionary) will be crowded out, then eliminated, to pay for entitlements, that 12,000 new IRS agents are being hired to dig into their private affairs, and that they will have to work extra hard to pay the fat pensions of all those new federal "workers".
Lastly, this will be tied up in court for a number of months/years; there is still time to continue to build support for repeal of this monster and implement real HC reform...YMMV
