Although I do not have statistics to support the tipping point where 49% of America works to support 51% who are incapable of refuse to earn their own keep,

Significantly less than 50% of adult Americans pay any Federal Income Tax.

You’re being played if you believe this. Propaganda abounds to take some of the stink away.

A caller to Rush asked that very question last week—who are the 46% of America who are so stupid that they approve of him? Well, Rush said that 46% of America is receiving some sort of gov’t handout—ergo, they approve!

You think polls tell the truth? It’s to sway people’s thinking - what the media doesn’t do - the polls do.

I am usually weary about polls to begin with in any case.

Obama has just gotten a weekend's worth of prominent, adulatory coverage from the MSM, with newspeople calling ObamaCare "historic", "transformational", etc. - and his legislation won. Of course his ratings at the moment are up - the real test will come over the rest of the year as the implications of this bill are made clear - no one's even sure what's in it right now.

And this will be the true test for the GOP and their commitment to rolling back not only ObamaCare but Big Government in general. Liberals in this country have waged a multi-decade effort to erode this nation's belief in free markets, individual initiative and American exceptionalism, and the GOP has not only let it happen, they've joined in with efforts like the Medicare drug benefit. Embarrassments like Ted Stevens, Charles Grassley and Richard Shelby haven't been fighting for limited government - they've spent their energies on grabbing as much pork for themselves as possible. It's time for the Republican Party to stand for something more than the lesser of two evils, and time for believers in small government and individual freedom to start winning hearts and minds. If not, we're well on our way to European-style irrelevance.

This poll is too volatile too be accurate. According to Gallup, BHO went from -2 to + 7 in three days. A 10 point swing? That being said, both Ras and Gallup showed a BHO uptick yesterday. Either he had a really good day polling, or a bad day rolled off, or both.

Three points is within the margin of error. And yes, weekend polls often favor Democrats. Republicans tend to have other things to do on the weekends, such as errands, keeping their kids occupied, and watching sports events.

Heck, he just gave 32 million American serfs access to health care. Of course they now like him!

Just wait til his next act when he adds another 50 million or so illegals to the mix. I feel more like a fish out of water with each passing day.

It should not be surprising at all. Even taking into account that the poll is biased toward the Dhims, we should remember that the low numbers included liberals who were disappointed that he hadn't delivered anything. Not different from Dubya's low numbers at the end of his administration which included a share of conservatives and Republicans who were disappointed at him for not being conservative enough.

Now, that he has delivered something, these people support 0bama again, and it shows in the poll numbers. The numbers, however, will not go to the Jan 2009 level, as many independents and Republicans who were supportive of him started to feel buyer remorses.

John Fund said yesterday he expected Obama to get a bump in the polls from this. He said it wouldn’t last.

I don’t think it will. I know too many employers who have said they are going to have to fire people over this. Too many doctors have said they will leave the profession. Walgreens has already said they won’t accept Medicaid; that will soon have to apply to Medicare as the Medicare cuts kick in.

They are trying to kick this down the road as far as possible so that people don’t link the too but there have been too much fuss over this to be really successful in that.

My guess is a health care tourism industry is going to spring up in places like Costa Rica and Mexico. That’s how they do it in other countries. Health care tourism, here we come.

Once they find out what is in the bill - massive poll shift !!!

He was elected by American Idol types and people who think that one need not be verified as competent but must be a good guy if he or she sings well. There you go, yes, America is becoming moronic by the minute.
