Republicans? How about Conservatives, my friend.
The Republicans WERE in power and none of that happened. That's part of the reason why we are HERE today.
And the mandate to drill everywhere? I'm living in the middle of it now; the air quality sucks (my home was here BEFORE the drills were) and I couldn't GIVE my house away now.
Offshore? Heck yeah. Alaska? Heck yeah. Some drilling in heavily populated suburban areas. Heck yeah.
A drill on every corner like we have now? Madness.
To: Von Raschke
Yep and it can be done by deem and pass if needed and reconciliation since it saves money. :)

What about repealing everything and anything loosely connect to the new deal or anything else that a progressive has touched?
What about running the progressives out of our country once and for all?
I am sure the UN can find a place for them...speaking of the UN we need to stop playing that game as well.

That, and full and total reform of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and full repeal of all federal funding of liberal/leftist organizations and programs, including PBS, NPR, the NEA, etc, etc - quite frankly, if some organization or program cannot stand on its own two feet and convince people to support it, then it has no business whatsoever feeding off the federal taxpayers like a parasite, a tick, a leech, or a tapeworm.

Eliminate everything not within the power of the Federal government in the constitution. Pay off the debt and then cut taxes accordingly. Cut the salaries and retirement benefits way back for elected officials so they don’t stay long. Also, get off the world government track and keep free trade but get out of global trade treaty entanglements.
Study all the foreign entanglements the traitors have gotten us into and cut anything that interfers with our interest as an independent country and economy.

"
2 - Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES". Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar."
TRANSCRIPT: Sarah Palin's RNC Speechhttp://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2074322/posts
This was the spirit that brought me to the governors office when I took on the old politics as usual in Juneau, when I stood up to the special interests, and the lobbyists, and the Big Oil companies, and the good-old boys...When oil and gas prices went up dramatically and filled up the state treasury, I sent a large share of that revenue back where it belonged: directly to the people of Alaska. And despite fierce opposition from oil company lobbyists, who kind of liked things the way that they were, we broke their monopoly on power and resources. As governor, I insisted on competition and basic fairness to end their control of our state and return it to the people.
