Time to go fro broke

Posted on 03/21/2010 8:58:40 PM PDT by Von Raschke

When Republicans get back in power, we need to go for:

1) Elimination of the Dept of Education. 2) Outlaw of abortion. 3) Shut down the border. 4) Eliminate the death tax altogether. 5) Mandate to drill everywhere.

etc...etc...etc...why not now? Why?

I agree. This nation is now in decline, officially. We’ll have to begin defunding our military to pay for healthcare. We’ll lose even more of our birthrate numbers to abortion. You can also count on losing cheap access to oil, food, and just about any other thing one considers “important” to their life as COngress forces through Cap & Trade, Amnesty, and any other pet project they want to ram through before they lose the COngress in November. And don’t bet on Congress in November, in *either* house. Amnesty is next, and it *WILL* pass, and at least where I live, I can bet you that there isn’t enough peeved conservatives to turn the tide against the immigrants who will be new voters.

And to those who are so cheery and say “it’s just beginning”. B.S. No one I know who has kids or dependents would ever forgo paying their taxes and risk jail time, etc. It just doesn’t happen. Dream on, play at organizing. The News Oulets will make you look like serious criminals for any kind of civil disobedience. It’s like Ayn Rand said: the purposeful and efficient will try to carry whatever load is necessary to achieve success. Her book was a *fantasy* where the successful finally stood down. Even she knew it was a fantasy, it’s time you realize it. You see, in the American revolution, for the most part, the enemy had to cross a ocean and meet us on our turf. Now, the “enemy” is your lazy neighbor who thinks you should give him a little money every now and then, when he is sick and on the out and out.

And America as a world-leader in technology, etc., is what will end. America the land of socialistic leaches and thieves will persist for as long as they have creators to leach from.

Dream on. Game over and done, we are beaten, and I am tired of being positive and upbeat about it. I have been told to be positive and upbeat and that the bill would die for 1 year and 2 months. What do we have tonight? A bill.

When will the world see real freedom again? When finally all the lazy people see the error of their ways and decide to come back to true liberty. And that my friends, will be a long long time.

Me, I’ll just minimize my tax footprint as best as possible: but I won’t quit my job in a innovate industry. I’ll keep my head down and pray that by some miracle, people will wise up to their ways, but I won’t ever get my hopes up about it again.

We would be lucky to get the credit to last HALF 40 - 60 years.

Social Security started cashing in it's stack of T-Bills last month. Every month they will tell the Government to pay even more out. They do not have it. Unemployed People DO NOT PAY TAXES, they eat them. Obama has effectively unemployed 15% of the American workforce indefinitely. They are already talking about 9-10% reported unemployment for years to come. Real U-6 Unemployment is over 17% and climbing.

Who would be stupid enough to open a business in a country with high taxes, intrusive labor and environmental regulations, and NO RULE OF LAW. We are official a Banana Republic. Everything is free, you just can't get it anywhere.

Next Super Power, This one is toast.

More than likely a quick fall of the West followed by decades if not centuries of brutal tyranny, It is 44 BC all over again. The free rule of free men has been dealt a massive blow.

Eliminate everything not within the power of the Federal government in the constitution. Pay off the debt and then cut taxes accordingly. Cut the salaries and retirement benefits way back for elected officials so they don’t stay long. Also, get off the world government track and keep free trade but get out of global trade treaty entanglements.
Study all the foreign entanglements the traitors have gotten us into and cut anything that interfers with our interest as an independent country and economy.

So can we start planning a new nation? At least create a body of knowledge so our descendants know what went wrong, what to prevent, etc. That way when a new Jefferson or Washington or Franklin emerge in 100-200 years, they have some idea of what went wrong.

ACORN will be out in full force with restored funding. I think we won’t see a fair election again in a lifetime. Look at what happened with Al Franken. They lie and cheat, and barely hide it.

Why? We already know about McCain, Romney and the like (no-gos).

Facts about Sarah Palin (my title)
Via Email | Unknown | [Not unknown. Here it is.] Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman

"2 - Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES". Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar."

TRANSCRIPT: Sarah Palin's RNC Speech
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2074322/posts

This was the spirit that brought me to the governor’s office when I took on the old politics as usual in Juneau, when I stood up to the special interests, and the lobbyists, and the Big Oil companies, and the good-old boys...When oil and gas prices went up dramatically and filled up the state treasury, I sent a large share of that revenue back where it belonged: directly to the people of Alaska. And despite fierce opposition from oil company lobbyists, who kind of liked things the way that they were, we broke their monopoly on power and resources. As governor, I insisted on competition and basic fairness to end their control of our state and return it to the people.

...supports extra, "early funding for [public] education" (Alaska State).

with a democratic president it is meaningless without a veto override.

Sure, but where? The moon? There’s no unclaimed land anywhere. Antarctica? nope, barred from it by international treaty. The bottom of the ocean is all that’s left. Start building submarines I guess.

A balanced budget amendment is a very bad idea. The court will quickly determine the amendment requires taxes be raised to pay for legislated spending. Congress is very good at legislating spending.

That’s the point. We need to start thinking along those terms and in long time frames. Just as Gramsci and Dutschke talked about the “long march through the institutions...”, we have to think long term as well. Beyond our own lifetimes. Freedom and liberty are dying in this world, and we need to leave a legacy for future generations to revive it. Or maintain it if we manage to overcome this socialist momemntum. They current generations in our high schools and colleges are so miseducated, I don’t see any way to turn it around in less than a generation.

Maybe we do need to work within the system to develop technology that will allow like-minded people to “escape” somewhere they can live freedom.

I don’t see any way to turn it around in under 3 generations. It’s gonna be at least 3 before this downward spiral hits bottom...seems to me.

You forgot eliminating the IRS

By the time the IRS finishes auditing everyone for healthcare, the people will be more than ready to support this!
