On top of that, they’re already spending millions on a new port of entry in Calais, Maine which is just a few miles to the south. Calais is like the 6th busiest port of entry into the U.S. I can understand upgrading there, but this little po-dunk hole is not worth the money for that kind of upgrade.

A meeting on Thursday with customs and border protection officials and Johnson proved encouraging as officials recognized the towns unique character and limitations of taking her land. Johnson says she fully supports homeland security and safe borders, she just wishes they would continue to operate from their own property.
