Somebody on another thread gave this alternate hypothesis: they have the votes, they just need to argue among themselves which marginal Rep can avoid having to fall on his sword in order to pass it with the least damage in November.
They would not have discussions as to who gets a pass at the WH en masse. That sort of thing happens in Pelosi’s office.
Besides, BO doesn’t give two -—ts as to who gets pushed off the cliff. Its all about Him.
