Pit bulls weren’t bred to be human-aggressive, so your point about genetics is pretty much fallacious as an argument.

Border Collies were not bred to herd humans either, but my friend who owns one told me his dog herds his kids. Either you or he is self deluded. Hmmmm. Let me think...

Perhaps some additional evidence - I wrote: Pit bulls are very strong dogs. They have large powerful jaws - close to the top of the scale for dogs.

You replied: This has been proven false by the University of Georgia. They performed a study using a computerized bite sleeve to measure bite pressure from German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Pit Bulls. The pit bulls had the weakest bite of the three, and none of the breeds tested had more than 350 psi, hardly the 2,000 that some jerk reporter made up years ago (which for some reason people took as gospel without even asking for proof).

So you are saying that because Shepards and Rotties had a stronger bite the statement is proven false? And by the University of Georgia no less? Wow! Are you illiterate, or just logic impaired? Go away. A Penn State University study has proved that you are clueless.

It has been found that dogs of similar size will have similar jaw-strength, so yes, your statement is false, and you are attempting to anger me with insults, which is just a waste of your time, I assure you.

There are an awful lot of large dogs that will automatically have a stronger bite due to their size, and when it comes to comparing pit bulls to other dogs when ten or more attacks have been noted, pit bulls don’t even rank in the top five for severity, according to a study done for the state of Colorado based on a year’s worth of dog attacks.

” Border Collies were not bred to herd humans either, but my friend who owns one told me his dog herds his kids. Either you or he is self deluded. Hmmmm. Let me think...”<<<<<<<<<<

Were Border collies concurrently bred NOT to herd people, or did the people breeding them feel that was necessary for their success? It’s not like breeding a dog to herd would pose a threat to the handlers, requiring such a safeguard, so I am guessing they were not bred the same as pit bulls were. A well-bred, well-raised pit bull will not attack any person, and the millions that are living in this country without incident are proof enough of that.

As for your statement about the Penn State study, which study are you referring to? Do you have a link?
