Its a possibility. But I have seen these situations before. It usually starts with just one or two and they reproduce and on it goes. Cats can reproduce at an alarming rate. It probably took no more than 3 years to get this many cats, plus she probably took in every stray that came along.

I have never owned a cat, and at best they have only a qualified appeal for me. Yet it seems unlikely that one or two cats in a home readily leads to dozens and squalor.

Just looking at the woman's picture made me think both nutty and slutty -- and that toxoplasmosis is associated with not just lack of energy, schizophrenia, and other mental problems, but also a tendency toward promiscuity.
