CBS Atlanta asked the Pit Bull owner what happened but all she said was that her dog had never attacked anyone before.

” CBS Atlanta asked the Pit Bull owner what happened but all she said was that her dog had never attacked anyone before. “

So here we have it. A “family pet” that “turned” on someone? Nope. A dog whose owner was so ignorant, so lazy, so selfish that when this dog showed aggression years ago, not only did she not euthanize it, but she allowed it to run loose. And you still blame the breed?

Tell me, what person has ever admitted their dog WAS a problem, but they chose to do nothing? Owner irresponsibility, as the experts all agree, is the cause of dog attacks, and I don’t see how you can’t see it.

Pit bulls are the most popular breed right now, and for that we will see more reports on them (not to mention they make money for the media), but what do you think will happen if they are banned? You will all be so safe, living with your labs and doxies and border collies, right?

Unfortunately, the biggest bit of proof that it isn’t the breed comes from these places that have banned them. Not seeing a drop in serious attacks is pretty sad, but what’s worse is that the people living there could care less about the woman whose face was ripped off by her greyhound, or the two children who died last year in separate incidents involving weimaraners. They’re all so much safer now that pit bulls aren’t the dogs they’re getting killed by.
