With the extra daylight after work, people do more driving around: shopping, going to soccer games, parks, etc. and use more electricity for lighting in the morning since the household has to get up in the dark - plus driving the kids to the bus stop in the dark.

So probably, no.

The last study that was done proved the opposite. In Taiwan where energy is expensive, they do not have it.
