couldn’t disagree more. I do not believe it is a case of ‘paranoid fantasies’,(nor is it ‘panic’ or ‘hysterical’), whatsoever. we desire to see the constitution of this country upheld and fighting to see that it is, as Orly is at least attempting to in her own somewhat different way, is on the square as we used to say.

What I'm referring to is all this “Obama will destroy the country” nonsense, which is a paranoid fantasy. Turn the clock back six years and it was the unhinged left screeching about Bush conspiracies and his secret plans to destroy the middle class, install a fascist dictatorship, call off the next round of elections, etc. It was pathetic nonsense then, and it remains pathetic nonsense now. This country will survive Obama just fine as long as it treats the unhinged extremes on either side with the dismissal they deserve.

My sense of objectivity and faith in this country doesn't shift simply because the party I don't vote for wins an election. That invariably happens in countries that allow elections. If one really has respect for any democratic process enshrined in any document, they keep their head about it.
