Just wondering. Under what cercumstances can a president invoke Marshall Law. What happens under Marshall Law? Are all our rights gone? Is there a time limit? Who has to approve it?
Now what the hell is that?
Now that was an intelligen response. Are you the spelling police?
Why would you think the Fascists would ever overtly declare martial law when they can incrementally implement the same program without awakening the slumbering giant?
It would take the overt act of a newly elected Populist state legislature to promote and declare viable legal sphere for a citizens’ militia, or maybe forcibly denying Federal employees with firearms training from working in the state, to get to a compressed time frame and critical tipping point fast enough for Fascists to make overt martial law declarations.
Most likely, even if a Populist state legislature were put in place with a aligned Gov, Washington DC would simply bleed the state dry through removal of Federal subsidies, again leaving the state legislators and politicians in the untenable situation of watching their constituencies starve to death from lack of Welfare, Medicaid etc entitlement programs monies.
There have been thousands of people who have posted on FR over the last decade who announced the eminent declaration of martial law, they did so because they had no defense against the long slow bleeding of liberties under the current American regime. They have often not understood that the last thing the Fascists want is a tipping point moment, that the fascists win through timeline attrition, and it is the town criers who are actually more eager to see a declaration of martial law than those the town criers accuse of being the masterminds behind the martial law coup.
Because only under martial law could certain actions be morally defensible, and most of those town criers yearn to take part in those actions.
Others are armchair generals, others are paid agents, and others are living out fantasies through extemporaneous postings on FR.
