Springers are known for rage...I've had several Springer Spaniels over the years and one we had when I was a kid had rage problems....after one encounter my dad was headed out the door with his .45 and the dog to put an end to his life but he was saved after much crying and begging by us 4 kids...he died back in 1985 at the ripe old age of 14 or 15..Sarge was his name. Born on the USMC birthday and died on the anniversary of my graduation from boot camp. The only thing that kept him around was that he was a hell of a bird dog.

We had a Brittany Spaniel that was really great & who lived to be 14 1/2. Never even tried to bite anyone & loved everyone. Only time I seen Taffy show any kind of strange behavior was when we lived on a farm & the next door neighbors doberman came over & Taffy chased it all the way back to its home with me screaming for Taffy to come back as I thought the doberman would hurt her.
