Farrah Fawcett was left out of the Oscar memorial tributes because she was better known as a TV star, it was disclosed yesterday
The former Charlie's Angels beauty was one of the biggest names to pass away last year and millions of fans around the world mourned her loss.
However, the producers of the Academy Awards on Sunday night neglected to add her list to a montage celebrating the movie industry's deaths of 2009.
Michael Jackson, Natasha Richardson, David Carradine and Brittany Murphy were among the stars featured.

She wasn’t. The decision makes sense to me. My dad died last year too...he was also left out, but then again he wasn’t a big screen star either.

She did 10 more movies than Michael Jackson. David Carradine was a “TV star” as well.

I’ve never seen a tag-team double-posting before. Good job, guys!!!!

"And Carradine's derives from "The Long Riders" and "Kill Bill"
The Long Riders is one great western. Ranks right up there with The Wild Bunch....
Best movie on Jesse James ever and the escape scene in Northfield Mn was simply awesome.

It was really weird. I posted, went to the end of the thread, didn't see it, refreshed, didn't see it, checked my posting history, didn't see it, went back and reposted it and poof! the embarrassing double-post.
*sigh*

Natasha Richardson was the mom in the remake of “The Parent Trap”. I can’t think offhand of any other movies she was in.

Not to mention the first Cannon Ball Run. Do you know why I like trees? Remember that line?
She was never a great big screen star but she did play in a number of movies. She was left out for some undisclosed reason. Was she a conservative perhaps?

Agreed. The Long Riders is a great Western. There are several memorable scenes, including the escape scene from the Northfield Bank. I liked the one with Jim Younger (Keith Carradine) riding in the woods with his cousin and they run into the Pinkerton fellas. I love it when the actors do most of their own riding, it bugs me when you can obviously tell when actors can’t ride and they only show their faces when “riding” or in long shots with stunt doubles.

snobs of the academy decide she didn’t cut it and she ended up on the floor, cut, scruple the whole damn lot of ‘em.. she was bigger than marilyn in her day and maybe even cuter.. but what do I know? I didn’t marry a blonde anyway.

It’s hard to believe that Robert Carradine could go from playing great manly characters in The Long Riders and The Big Red One to playing the lead in Revenge of the Nerds...
To: Old Teufel Hunden
Oh, no joke! I could never wrap my brain around Robert Carradine going from a very masculine, likeable bad guy to an incredible nerd, complete with belted baggy pants hiked up to his armpits and a plastic pocket protector. It doesn’t compute. Know what I mean?

Yeah, playing that nerd role was true "acting"...
To: MozarkDawg
Wait ... she was a Hollywood icon, regardless it was more for a notable TV role, but how was this any different than David Carradine? David Carradine was in mucho, mucho movies. And without him, Kill Bill would have beem Kill Godot
But Brittany Murphy? I didn't know she had been alive.

A lot of British movies They don't count. If they did, Edward Woodward would have made it just on the basis of Breaker Morant and The Wicker Man

He should have made it also. Let me get this right. You think Richardson didn’t deserve to be on the list, is that correct?
