You have it mostly right. We dress for other women but not necessarily to compete for the attention of men. If that were true, we’d be naked. :)
I don’t agree that women dress to compete with other women for men’s attention. Women just are beautiful innately. Some wear sweats and let themselves go, don’t care. But if you want to look your best — just as you want to do your best at your job — you will take the time to make that happen.
AND I do it for my husband, because I cherish him and want to make him happy.
