Are y?all talking about regular Fritos or those scoop Fritos? It makes a big difference.

I don't know, but I'd guess regular Fritos to add in the bowl and scoop sz to dip.

Aside: Anyone know why the post preview changes double and single quotation marks to question marks?

Recipe for authentic Frito pie:

1 high school football game
1 bag of Fritos unopened (individual size)
1 styrofoam bowl
1 large scoop of canned chili, heated (gallon sized can of Wolf brand is best, but whatever is on sale at Costco will do!), beans optional
1 ample handful of grated cheddar cheese
1 spork

Lay the bag of Fritos inside the styrofoam bowl. Take a sharp knife and cut the bag vertically down the center, top to bottom. Open the bag carefully so no chips fall out.

Spoon the large scoop of chili over the contents of the bag.
Sprinkle the cheese across the top of the chili.
Stick the spork in the mixture and take your bowl to the top bleacher in the stadium.
Ignore your *** freezing to the bleacher and enjoy the Frito pie, along with a cup of hot chocolate OR if you are a REAL Texan, a nice icy cold Dr. Pepper. Mmmmm, mmmmm, good!! :-)
