Why was a founding member of the FreeRepublic LLC 501(c) board banned by a modmin/admin who is no more than a volunteer sitting at home on a ego trip?
How many thousands of archive pages were just fractured due to this foolishness?
Not only should a full explanation be given to the public, the admin who approved this measure needs to be publicly named, and publicly defend the position.
THis is the most abject failure of the modmin system that John Robinson devised in the history of FR since the rebuild in 1999.
If the admin powered individual was anyone other than current or former formal members of the LLC, the admin must be removed from the admin level and any admins who want to defend that admin should also make themselves publicly known and defend their position.
This banning is an indictment on the failure of the admins of this website. That is putting it politely.
I just had the most bizarre commercial run through mny head involving mozzarella, pizza deliverymen, and Viking Kitties.
All because of that image and the caption.
Coalition of discussion?
That was not the subject; it was a coalition of purpose, which is not desirable, since there is such a decided diversion of purpose.
That was the “coalition” that the poster said was to be desired, his continued participation in this discussion.
That you bring up “unequally yoked to the unbeliever” and the notions of “righteous” and “unrighteous” as to why BobJ should have been banned amazes me.
Do you really consider BobJ an “unbeliever” or “unrighteous”? Is this based entirely upon his opposition to the candidacy of Sarah Palin?
Basically instead of holding old allies close, newer members are talking about cats, fritos, Palin and Ash to deflect any sort of conversation about why people like BobJ and steve-b were recently banned. Bob J is one of us in the bleecher seats or if lucky in the press box... Palin is amongst other things, still just a politician.

There is one teensy little fact that you seem to be overlooking in this context.
This site belongs, as in, is the property of, Jim Robinson. It’s his call as to who stays and who goes. BobJ apparently neglected to be mindful of this fact as well.
JimRob does not owe you, me or anyone else an explanation for anything that goes on here.
As for how we are treating the thread you think is so critically important, well, I think you see that few others do. Basically you have given us a Friday Silliness Thread on Wednesday.
Oh. In case I’ve been too subtle. BobJ and steve-b were banned cuz jimrob said so.
Sounds like he was obsessed with bashing Palin. I won’t miss him a bit.
Bob considers himself an unbeliever, by his own testimony.
Maybe you have not been here long enough to have encountered his posts that led many of us here, including Jim to declare that he was in no way a conservative. This goes back to around 2002-2003. Before that he posted little, but was involved in the funding drives; I believe that he processed the credit card contributions.
His goals have never coincided with the site’s goals.
A mix of dried bludd and marinara.
Maybe.
parsy, who is chained up and muzzled.

and who, as a result, is not nearly as much fun as parsy could be.
BWAHAHA! The Great FR Pizza Massacre of 2010...
Thanks a lot. I was searching for an important email but instead of typing ‘Schindler’ in the search block I typed ‘savory’. I did not get the desired results.
It wasn't me.
Blame the overzealous martinet security team at the FR complex.
The search function is notoriously “iffy”.
We're not talking about Free Republic or Google here. This is my work email on my work laptop. And for the record, there were no results for 'savory' in any of my email.
I second that.
That’s a shame. Before she passed, my wife used to occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, just come out with woo-ee-woo-ee-woo,....DURANGO!
I wasn’t being sarcastic.
When there is an apparent personality change like this old FReeper has undergone, it could be from illness, from age, or from a sudden conversion to the other side.
I don’t know the man, but I wish him well.
