Why was a founding member of the FreeRepublic LLC 501(c) board banned by a modmin/admin who is no more than a volunteer sitting at home on a ego trip?

How many thousands of archive pages were just fractured due to this foolishness?

Not only should a full explanation be given to the public, the admin who approved this measure needs to be publicly named, and publicly defend the position.

THis is the most abject failure of the modmin system that John Robinson devised in the history of FR since the rebuild in 1999.

If the admin powered individual was anyone other than current or former formal members of the LLC, the admin must be removed from the admin level and any admins who want to defend that admin should also make themselves publicly known and defend their position.

This banning is an indictment on the failure of the admins of this website. That is putting it politely.

The deer responded to a rock upside the head.
Even after being coffee reanimated.
And rumor has it that Eaker saw you sitting on the deer the next day contemplating the rock.

You do still have that raging reanimated deer killing rock, right?

I often sit around contemplating rocks.

It’s a Neanderthal thing.

It wasn’t called the stone age for nothin’.

I don't like the universe very much.

You mean: you don't like *this* universe very much. Somewhere, there's a universe where there really is beer in the #@$%ing bottle, Fershure.

See... that's why I get whiskey in a glass. No top to open, no questionable states of matter to consider. And the ice keeps it nice and chilled.

Of course, it's one of my favorites.

Also got a couple busted-up deer skulls to go with it.

People think I'm loony when I tell the story, screw 'em.

“People think I’m loony when I tell the story”

Invite them in, give ‘em the coffee.
Watch the magic unfold, and keep the rock handy.

A little less hyperbole and a bit more tact.

I’m sure it wasn’t a bolt out of the blue to strike Mr. J. I’m just as certain that the Robinsons and the Admins are not ogres who delight in irrational actions. I’ve been warned before. Though it was some years ago. Every once in a while we all could use an attitude adjustment. Especially when the vehicle we use to “pontificate” is the property of someone else who allows us the privilege of its existence.

If it is, as Mr. Robinson has stated, a “suspension”, the sun will shine again and the skies will be blue. The avenues of constructive and respectful dialogue will be open and BobJ can contribute, within the guidelines established for such.

Cheers!

I’d also mention the plot to coffee up the local deer population, but that was a rumor until somebody went and did it.

Pizza place says the second driver called in at the gate.
Please check with security at your end, those guys are nuts.

Not that I’m criticizing..

Couldn’t y’all have gotten the pizza from the first diver your
security guys whacked and tossed it in the microwave? Geez.

I’ll call them again, don’t suspend me.

BobJ quotes from various threads:
"The TP movement began and continues to be one primarlliy of fiscal activism and I think social coservative groups attempting to portray themselves as the face or heart of the movement are going to get a rude awakening."
"It’s not a political movement, it’s religious. Palin wears her Christian/born again/evangelical/rapture/end times beliefs on her sleeve and that’s what excites her fans. Once you understand hat, everything else comes into focus."
"All I can say is in 2012, I “hopey” we don’t “changey” to this embarrassing woman."
"OMG, not another "Palin is just like Reagan" post? Anyone, and I mean anyone who compares anything about Reagan with Palin should be locked up and their vote taken away. For the good of the country. "
