Yayha is one of Gadahn’s aka’s.

Abu Yayha al-Libi IS a commander and I do hope he was arrested.

We’ll see.

Waiting for official news not from an anonymous source.

Yep and by the way, thanks for the links.

It’s breaking news and there are a number of foreign fighters (aka American jihadis) in Pakistan.

So, this could easily be another Adam, maybe that thin-faced smirky guy with a beard.

“American-born Qaeda leader held in Karachi”

* Gadahn served as translator, consultant

SNIPPET: “KARACHI: Intelligence agents have arrested Adam Gadahn, the American-born spokesman for al Qaeda, in an operation in Karachi, two officers and a government official said on Sunday.

The arrest of Gadahn is a major victory in the US-led battle against al Qaeda and will be taken as a sign that Pakistan is cooperating more fully with Washington. It follows the recent detentions of several Afghan Taliban commanders in Karachi.

Gadahn was arrested in recent days, two officers who took part in the operation said. A senior government official also confirmed the arrest. Gadahn, who is also known by various aliases, including Yahya Majadin Adams and Azzam al-Amriki...”

UNCONFIRMED arrest.

No fun having him in a Pakistani jail if WE know he is there.
Let the Pakistanis have their fun with him—
If he is as ‘big’ as they say he is, he should be a font of information..the Pakistanis will get it out of him.
THEN ship him home in a body bag.
Like previously stated, if he gets shipped here he will be walking the streets in short time....

“Top Al Qaeda leader reported held in Karachi”
By Anwar Iqbal
Monday, 08 Mar, 2010

I

SNIPPET: “WASHINGTON: An American Al Qaeda leader, Adam Yahiye Gadahn, was arrested in Karachi on Sunday, US and Pakistani diplomatic sources told journalists here.

Gadahn was likely detained in Sohrab Goth, a major Pashtun area in northern Karachi, which also has a large population of tribesmen from North and South Waziristan.

Also known as ‘Azzam the American’, Gadahn has long been on the US ‘Most Wanted List’. Officials in Washington described his capture as ‘a major victory’ in the war against Al Qaeda.

All major US media outlets, while reporting the arrest of Osama bin Laden’s spokesman, also credited DawnNews with breaking the news.

The reported capture of Gadahn comes the same day as As Sahab, Al Qaeda website, released a video of him praising Major Nidal Hasan, the US army officer who murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, on Nov 5, 2009.”

“Key al-Qaeda operative arrested in Karachi”

PTI

SNIPPET: “Pakistan’s intelligence agencies have arrested two terrorists, including a US-national, who for many years acted as a spokesman for Osama Bin Laden and the Al-Qaeda, in the city.

Well-placed sources in the government and the police said US national Abu Yayha Azam, who is also known as Adam Gadahn, along with another terrorist was arrested two days ago from a house located close to Sohrab Goth on the Super highway, confirming fears that the Taliban and al—Qaeda are using the city as a safe base.

The two have now been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation, the sources said.”
