An Indonesian Muslim student defaces a mask of U.S. president Barack Obama during a protest against his planned visit outside the parliament in Jakarta, Indonesia, Friday, March 5, 2010. Obama is scheduled to travel later this month to the world's most populous Muslim country where he lived as a boy. (AP Photo/Dita Alangkara).

So much for restoring America's standing in the world.

But, but, everybody in the world was supposed to love us now. We finally ‘got it’ and elected a sorta, kinda (well if he says so) American Muslim whose half Black.

Why the oceans were going to lower, we’d all be in a constant state of love, peace, and waaay kewl karma...as unicorns pooped skittles and choruses of mutli cultural children sang his praises.

Bummer. Street urchins in Indonesia understand more about our poser in chief than the average American.

The students carried banners branding Obama as an enemy of Islam and an imperialist

His own fool fault for championing the acts of the Looney Left while Boosh was President.

Such demonstrations of hostility toward Obama are rare in Indonesia, where he enjoys widespread popularity because he spend part of his childhood in Jakarta while his mother was married to his Indonesian stepfather.

Did his stepfather adopt little Barry? Did Barry ever claim Indonesian citizenship/heritage on paperwork?

AP needs to be careful covering this story.

Local government officials allowed business people to erect a statue of a 10-year-old Obama in a Jakarta park in December. But it was shifted last month to a nearby elementary school that he attended after more than 50,000 people supported a Facebook campaign against it and court action was threatened.

Widspread support except for the 50k I guess?

Interesting. I'm curious why they would be protesting one of their own citizens.

After all, I suspect he's still an Indonesian citizen since there is no record of him reinstating his USA citizenship (if he ever had one) after he came back here from Indonesia, being that he had to relinquish his USA citizenship (if he ever had one) to be adopted by his Indonesian father since Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship.
